About our Founder
Chris Vickers
Chris Vickers is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Beckon Home Builders. Chris started his career serving four years in the United States Marine corps. After serving his country, he entered the construction industry as a Superintendent and Project Manager in the single-family sector, building over 1,000 homes. Building for national builders, including Dream Finders Homes, Admiral Homes, Lennar Homes, and D.R. Horton Homes. Chris built the first-ever model home inside Jacksonville Jaguars sports venue at Ever-bank Stadium in under 49 days. Later, the home was donated to a wounded military veteran after the 2017 NFL football season.
Chris also leads the multifamily division for Live Oak Contracting as the Director of Construction. Live Oak Contracting is an award-winning full-service multifamily and commercial construction company spanning the east coast from Florida to Maine. Chris has managed over $800M in project value and has built over 4,600 units in multifamily. Chris is a Certified Licensed Florida General Contractor and looks forward to building quality homes for the North East Florida community.
